Administered by the Human Resource Educators’ Association of the Philippines (HREAP), the CHRA certification is one of the most recognized competency assessments for individuals pursuing a career in Human Resource Management.

What is the CHRA Examination?
The Certified Human Resource Associate (CHRA) is an assessment examination designed to evaluate the fundamental knowledge and competencies required in the field of Human Resource Management. Unlike PRC licensure examinations, the CHRA certification is administered by HREAP and is not a professional license issued by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). However, it is widely recognized by employers and HR organizations as a valuable professional certification.

Who Can Apply for the CHRA Exam?
Applicants may qualify under any of the following categories:
Category A
Graduates or graduating students of:
- BSBA Human Resource Management
- BS/AB Psychology
- Guidance and Counseling
- Organizational Management
- Behavioral Science
- Public Administration
- Legal Management
- Law/Juris Doctor
Category B
Graduates of:
- MA Psychology
- MBA Major in Human Resource Management
- MPA Major in Personnel Administration
Category C
Any four year degree holder with at least one year of HR-related work experience.
Category D
Tertiary faculty members teaching HR-related subjects.
Category E
People Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, Department Heads, and Directors with any four-year degree.
Category F
Individuals who completed the Foundation Certificate in Human Resource Management (FCHRM) from the Philippine HR Institute (PHRI).
CHRA Examination Fee
The assessment examination fee is:
PHP 1,900
The fee includes examination processing and access to review materials provided by HREAP.

- Submit the required documents.
- Pay the examination fee.
- Send proof of payment to HREAP.
- Wait for confirmation and examination details via email.
After payment confirmation, examinees will receive access to reviewers, reference materials, and examination instructions.

Passing Rate and Certification
To pass the CHRA examination, candidates must obtain at least 50% in each examination set. Those who fail one set may retake only the failed portion during a future examination schedule. HREAP has also removed the previous limit on the number of examination attempts.
