Passing rates generally range between 10% to 19%, showing the competitive nature of the exam. Recent exams (2022-2025) show higher passing trends compared to earlier years. The highest passing rate was recorded in August 2022 (18.97%). The lowest passing rates were seen between 2015-2018 (10-11%).
OCSERGS / Verification of Rating
All examinees whether passed or failed can access their March 2026 CSE results through the Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System (OCSERGS).
OCSERGS Availability: May 18, 2026
Candidates can generate and print their individual rating report online starting on the указан date. Please note that no official rating report will be mailed to examinees.
To successfully retrieve your result, make sure to accurately enter your personal information and examination details in the required fields on the system.
Certification of Eligibility (COE)
All successful examinees are required to claim their Certificate of Eligibility (COE), which is issued on the official letterhead of the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
- COE Availability (Letterhead): Starting June 11, 2026
- The COE is issued free of charge at the CSC Regional or Field Office where the exam was taken.
Before visiting the office, passers are advised to confirm availability of their COE. When claiming, bring the following:
- Valid ID (preferably the same ID used during application)
- Application receipt and/or official CSC receipt.
COE on Security Paper (Optional)
- Passers may also request a Certificate of Eligibility printed on security paper for a corresponding fee.
- Unlike the letterhead version, this can be requested from any of the 16 CSC Regional Offices nationwide, regardless of where the exam was taken.
- It is recommended to contact the nearest CSC office first to confirm availability before visiting.
Examination Coverage – CSE-PPT March 2026
The March 2026 Civil Service Examination, Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT), administered by the Civil Service Commission (CSC), covered a range of subjects for both Professional and Subprofessional levels, designed to assess candidates’ readiness for government service.
Professional Level (Prof) – (English & Filipino)
The Professional exam focused on the following areas.
Numerical Ability: Basic mathematical operations and word problem solving.
Analytical Ability: Word association, identifying assumptions and conclusions, logical reasoning, and data interpretation.
Verbal Ability: Grammar and correct usage, vocabulary, paragraph organization, and reading comprehension.
Subprofessional Level (SubProf) : (English & Filipino)
The Subprofessional exam included.
Numerical Ability : Basic operations and word problems
Clerical Ability : Filing, spelling, and office-related tasks
Verbal Ability: Grammar and correct usage, vocabulary, paragraph organization, and reading comprehension.
General Information (Both Levels). Both Professional and Subprofessional exams also included questions related to, The Philippine Constitution. The Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (R.A. 6713), Peace and Human Rights concepts, Environmental management and protection.
Number of Questions & Time Limit
Professional Level: Total Items: 170 questions
Time Limit: 3 hours and 10 minutes.
Subprofessional Level: Total Items: 165 questions
Time Limit: 2 hours and 40 minutes.
Passing Score:- To pass the Civil Service Examination, candidates must obtain a general rating of at least 80.00%.
