The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB), in conjunction with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, has released the 2026 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examination results.
The results were officially announced on 7 September 2026, giving thousands of candidates the opportunity to check their examination performance.
According to the official results information, 188,169 candidates sat for the 2026 MSCE examination, of whom 111,510 candidates passed, representing an overall 59.26% pass rate.

Award of the MSCE Certificate
Candidates are awarded the Malawi School Certificate of Education if they satisfy either of the following requirements:
Option 1: Obtain a pass in six (6) subjects, including English, with a credit pass in at least one subject.
OR
Option 2: Obtain a pass in five (5) subjects, including English, with a credit pass in at least three (3) subjects.
MANEB also provides for candidates to qualify through a single examination sitting or, under certain circumstances, through certificate by accumulation across examination sittings.

Candidates can check their examination results through the official MANEB Examination Results Portal. The online results portal asks candidates to enter their examination number and date of birth to retrieve their results.
