Online Oathtaking New Social Workers

The Professional Regulation Commission has officially announced the Online Oathtaking of the New Social Workers, which will be conducted virtually for newly licensed professionals who recently passed the Social Workers Licensure Examination. This virtual ceremony allows successful examinees to take their professional oath online, enabling them to formally begin their careers as registered social workers.

Schedule of the Online Oathtaking

  • Date: March 20, 2026
  • Time: 10:00 A.M.
  • Platform: Microsoft Teams or Zoom [ Online ]
  • Host Office: PRC Legazpi

All successful examinees who wish to participate in the online ceremony must complete the required registration before the event.

Registration Process for Online Oathtaking

Inductees are required to register through the PRC online portal. Applicants should follow these steps:

Visit the PRC Online Services portal at https://online.prc.gov.ph

Log in to your PRC account.

Select “e-OATH” as the transaction type.

Choose the available schedule for the online oathtaking.

Confirm the appointment and complete the required details.

PRC noted that online registration will close five (5) calendar days before the scheduled oathtaking date, so applicants should secure their slot early.

Required Documents

  • Printed “Oath of Professional” form downloaded from the PRC website
  • Confirmed e-OATH appointment from the PRC online portal
  • Valid identification if required during verification

These documents are necessary to ensure smooth participation in the virtual oath-taking ceremony.

All inductees are required to observe proper attire and background during the online event. PRC instructs participants to:

  • Wear formal or business attire
  • Use a white backdrop (either physical or virtual background)
  • Join the meeting platform ahead of the scheduled time

Importance of the Oathtaking Ceremony

The oathtaking ceremony is a significant milestone for newly licensed professionals. By taking the professional oath, social workers formally pledge to uphold ethical standards, professional integrity, and commitment to public service in their field.

After completing the oath taking process, successful examinees can proceed with initial registration and issuance of their Professional Identification Card (PIC) from PRC.
