Gambia WASSCE Results 2026 are out. Candidates who sat for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates 2026 in The Gambia can now check their results online through the official WAEC Gambia result checker.
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC), The Gambia, has officially announced the release of the 2026 WASSCE results. A total of 20,610 candidates from 170 Senior Secondary Schools registered for the examination.
Out of the 20,610 candidates who registered, 19,605 candidates (95.12%) had complete records used for the initial performance statistics. Among them, 1,556 candidates (7.94%) obtained credit passes in five subjects and above, including English Language and Mathematics.

According to WAEC Gambia, candidates registered for 40 subjects covering English Language, Mathematics, Civic Education and various Science, Arts, Commerce, Technical and Vocational subjects.

WAEC noted that the statistics are based on the 19,605 complete records, while approximately 994 incomplete records were still being processed and could affect the final statistics.
What is Result Withheld
WAEC Gambia has stated that the results of 98 candidates from 13 schools were withheld over suspected examination malpractice. The affected results remain subject to review by the appropriate WAEC committee. Candidates whose results are withheld should wait for official information from WAEC rather than relying on unverified social media reports.
